Until recently, Jose Uribe was an obscure New Jersey businessman caught in a bribery scheme involving Senator Menendez; now, as a star government witness, he will testify against Menendez in a corruption trial.
Uribe sought Senator Menendez's help to halt investigations into associates, and in return, helped purchase a luxury car for Menendez's girlfriend, implicating the senator in bribery allegations.
