Barzilay reflects on the social scene of balconies in Tel Aviv, saying, 'Everyone was always hanging out on their balconies, listening to music, and snacking.' This influenced her renovation decisions.
While renovating her patio, Barzilay noted, 'I wanted to do it justice, but wasn't going to go super crazy... I mostly went piece-by-piece and considered each cost like that.'
Barzilay's design process for her outdoor space reflects her intent to create a personal, comfortable environment, emphasizing that, "It's huge and almost the same size as the indoors."
