Elizabeth Bryant customized her home because new builds with six or seven bedrooms seemed 'ridiculously large'. She sought a more thoughtful approach to space.
Inspired by straight lines, natural materials, and ample natural light, Bryant's design included white oak floors, black window frames, and natural stone around the fireplace. She aimed for a home that stands as 'a piece of art'.
Retaining only the foundation of the previous house, Bryant's new home boasts 12-and-a-half-feet high windows, offering a view of trees upon entry. The design intended to bring the outside in.
