Sanger's wastewater treatment plant was found to be in violation of several state regulations related to its wastewater discharge requirements, prompting urgent repairs.
The requested $750,000 from the wastewater company's approximately $8 million in funds will be used to repair critical components of the treatment plant.
A study conducted by an external consultant in April 2023 indicated that the actual needs for the treatment plant might be significantly higher than initially estimated.
