Risk of flooding and travel disruption as four counties hit by Status Yellow wind and rain warning
Briefly

Met Éireann is warning of the potential for spot flooding and transport disruption in places as heavy rain and winds are forecast. The warning came into effect at 9am and will remain in place until 8pm for Dublin, Louth, Meath and Wicklow.
Conditions in the capital will be very wet and cloudy to start this morning with bands of rain becoming widespread and heavy at times. The heavy and persistent rain will gradually clear southwards through the evening but it will remain rather cloudy.
Things are set to improve tomorrow however, as a cooler and rather cloudy start to the day will see a good scattering of showers drifting down from the north. There will be some sunny spells later in the afternoon as the northerly breeze weakens.
Met Éireann's outlook for the week is mixed with some rain on the way but bright, sunny spells as well. There will be scattered showers across most of the country on Friday with just isolated showers in the east and southeast.
