MGMT Go Full '90s Alt-Rock in Video for New Song "Bubblegum Dog"
Briefly

"Bubblegum Dog" appears on their upcoming album Loss of Life, and, in the video, Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser go all in for '90s alternative rock.
The visual from directors Tom Scharpling and Julia Vickerman includes homages to several videos from that era. The aesthetic includes soul patches, cowboy hats, and the MTV Unplugged set. There's also a cameo from What We Do in the Shadows star Mark Proksch.
During last night's episode of The Best Show With Tom Scharpling, Tom Scharpling teased the arrival of "Bubblegum Dog" by calling it the best video he's ever done.
Loss of Life is out February 23 via Mom+Pop. It features the previously released single "Mother Nature." The album includes a collaboration with Christine and the Queens on a track called "Dancing in Babylon."
