"I don't really connect to the literal frequencies that are coming out of new music," she says on a Zoom call.
"That EP is about your shadow self and how it follows you everywhere," she says. "You have to learn to make peace with it in order to step out of that shadow. The songs are in an order: experiencing obstacles, loss and overcoming it, and learning how to live within it and beyond it."
"Being a solo artist is an amazing thing to learn to love, like learning to love yourself," she says. "But it's been hard to steer the ship alone, to figure out how to get the music out there and do it all alone."
