Contour, the Charleston, South Carolina, artist behind the standout 2022 album, has announced his first album for Mexican Summer. The new release, Take Off From Mercy, is out on November 1.
For the new album, he was inspired by Toni Morrison's Song of Solomon and the history of Southern songwriters, indicating a deep connection to cultural influences.
Take Off From Mercy will be the second album of 2024 from Contour and Omari Jazz, highlighting a busy year for the artist and his collaborator.
Contour, whose real name is Khari Lucas, worked on Take Off From Mercy with Saul Williams, Mndsgn, and co-producer Omari Jazz, showcasing a collaborative process.
