Cost of dealing with PFAS problem sites frightening', says Environment Agency
Briefly

The number of sites in England potentially contaminated with PFAS, known as 'forever chemicals,' is increasing, with Environment Agency acknowledging insufficient budget to address the issue.
There could be over 10,000 locations in England contaminated with PFAS, linked to numerous diseases, particularly cancers, yet the EA is only addressing four sites.
Banned PFAS were widely used in firefighting foams, which may explain the contamination found near the former RAF base now known as Fire Service College.
Angus Fire asserts they have halted manufacturing PFAS-containing foam products, while the EA investigates elevated PFAS concentrations in surface water near their site.
