Miami-Dade Public Schools on Friday increased its police presence at Miami Northwestern Senior High after a student was shot on campus and taken in critical condition to the hospital the day before following an after-school sports event, authorities said.
He was taken in critical condition to Jackson Memorial's Ryder Trauma Center, Sanchez said.
