The City of Miami has agreed to a $12.5 million settlement over allegations of targeting specific Little Havana businesses, in a prolonged legal conflict.
The lawsuit filed by The Mad Room LLC contends that the city harassed businesses owned by Bill Fuller, targeting them with code enforcement raids and violations.
Allegations noted a city-created vendetta against the plaintiffs, impeding their businesses through tactics designed to undermine their property rights and economic stability.
Following a jury ruling that found Commissioner Carollo liable for infringing on the free speech rights of local businessmen, the plaintiffs have faced challenges in enforcing the judgment.
