Where Should You Raise Your Children?
Briefly

In 2023, about 26 million people moved, way down from nearly 43 million in 2019, according to the Census Bureau. WalletHub's study ranks 180 U.S. cities based on family friendliness, focusing on health, safety, education, child care, affordability, socioeconomics, and family fun.
Fremont, Calif., topped the list for family-friendly cities due to its strong scores in education, child care, and socioeconomics categories, despite a high cost of living balanced by a high median income. Income inequality was a prominent factor in the rankings, with cities at the top having high incomes and mostly white or Asian populations.
Memphis ranked lowest in the study, with a significant focus on income inequality. Cities at the bottom had low median incomes and mostly Black or Hispanic populations. The study revealed a clear correlation between income levels, demographics, and rankings for raising children.
