Pharmacy technicians might also get to administer vaccines for hepatitis, rabies, and meningitis, aiming to reduce the burden on family doctors and provide more accessible healthcare.
In 2023, pharmacists in Ontario gained expanded roles to treat and prescribe medication for 19 illnesses, including pink eye, cold sores, and urinary tract infections.
