More than a third of cancer patients in England face potentially deadly delays

The proportion of patients waiting longer than 62 days in December from an urgent suspected cancer referral or consultant upgrade to their first definitive treatment for cancer was 65.9%, up slightly from 65.2% in November.
In light of the continuing dire state of cancer performance in our country confirmed again by these figures, we are urging the government to show similar qualities and adopt a new 'get it done' approach.
