NYC Health + Hospitals launched a comprehensive three-year plan to expand and enhance its behavioral health services, focusing on six core strategies to increase outpatient services, special populations, care management, violence prevention, safety, and workforce.
Funding for these efforts includes $41 million from the Behavioral Health Centers of Excellence, Opioid Settlement Funding, and a mix of City, State, Federal, and philanthropic funds. NYC Health + Hospitals also expanded behavioral health services by opening a new Extended Care Unit at Kings County Hospital.
