Almost four out of every 10 journalists covering the climate crisis have been threatened. 11% faced physical violence. 43% targeted by illegal activities, 30% threatened with legal action, silencing free speech.

Despite increased prominence, climate stories lack adequate coverage. Urgent need highlighted by extreme weather, stark disparities in impact on vulnerable communities.
