Daily Bruin student journalists were attacked by counterprotesters, sprayed with mace, lights shone in their faces, and physically assaulted during the campus demonstration.
The incident lasted about five minutes, with one student journalist punched multiple times, another beaten and kicked, and a third experiencing the burning sensation from the pepper spray.
