Women receive an ego boost if they shun social media for just a week
Briefly

Simply taking a week away from social media can have an enormous impact on young women's body image, with those craving a slender physique benefiting the most.
Analysis showed that those who took a break from social media had higher body satisfaction and self-esteem compared to those who continued using it.

The paper, published in the journal Body Image, is the first to focus on social media breaks and their impact on body image, emphasizing the changing social media landscape.
