The Sites Fire in Colusa County now covers 19,124 acres, making it the biggest blaze in California with 10% containment. Firefighters are making progress on the west and east sides, but the north end remains active, threatening 326 structures.
Evacuation warnings and orders are in effect, with a shelter provided at Colusa Veterans Hall. The cause of the fire, which started near Stonyford, is under investigation.
