Measles case confirmed at California's busiest airport
Briefly

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health is advising travelers who were at Los Angeles International Airport's Terminal B between 2 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, to assess themselves for the highly contagious virus.
People who aren't immunized run the risk of developing measles from seven to 21 days after exposure.
The virus is spread by both air and direct contact. If contracted, it can lead to major diseases that are lethal.
This is the second case of confirmed measles to pass through LAX in 2024.
