Gardaí responded to a call about a man in his 30s acting extremely aggressively outside a property in Tagoat. The man was reported to be armed with a baseball bat and was banging at the door. The homeowner said the man had allegedly smashed two CCTV cameras and that the homeowner did not know why he was there. Because the man was armed, the armed support unit was called and arrested him on the main N25 Rosslare Road, where multiple squad cars partially blocked traffic. The man cooperated with gardaí when confronted. He was detained at Wexford Garda Station for questioning and would be either charged or released later that day.
