For the first time in its 124-year history, Michelin has announced a restaurant guide for Mexico, awarding 18 stars across Baja California, Los Cabos, Mexico City, Nuevo Léon, Oaxaca and Quintana Roo. Two restaurants received two stars, with 16 spots obtaining one star.
Carlos Gaytán expressed gratitude for earning a Michelin star in both the United States and Mexico, attributing the achievement to his team's dedication and passion for culinary excellence.
Roberto Alcocer, proprietor of Malva in Baja California and a recognized chef, shared his pride in the acknowledgment, highlighting the hard work put into his restaurant since its opening in 2013.
