Three police officers were injured during a protest in Westminster, one with a serious facial injury. 40 people were arrested, including those suspected of leading the breakaway protest.
The Metropolitan police are investigating the incident where a bottle was thrown at an officer. Some of the crowd resisted arrest, necessitating the use of force to remove them.
