This south London train station is getting a historic refurb
Briefly

Blackheath station, a Grade II-listed structure, is set to have both platforms' overhead canopies completely revitalised with replacement timber and a fresh coat of paint to seal in the original lead paint from the nineteenth century.
The terminus will also receive a new color scheme, switching from blue to green to match other stations on the route, along with new glass to replace the original wire-framed glass on the railway bridge.
Funding for the renovation of Blackheath station comes from sources like the Rail Heritage Trust and the Blackheath Society, with planning permission already secured in April, although no official start date has been announced yet.
