Suspected drug driver arrested after two kids injured in Bexleyheath bus crash

The incident between two kids and a bus happened in Watling Street near Halcot Avenue at 9.05am... A nine-year-old girl and a five-year-old boy were found injured. They were taken to hospital where the girl remains in a life threatening condition.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police confirmed... that the driver was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury through dangerous driving and drug-driving. He was taken into police custody where he remains.
The full Metropolitan Police statement says: At 09.05hrs on Saturday, 3 August, police were called to a bus in collision with two children on Watling Street... A nine-year-old girl was taken to hospital by ambulance. Her injuries are being treated as life-threatening.
The male driver of the bus was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury through dangerous driving and drug-driving. He remains in police custody. Any witnesses to the collision who are yet to speak with police are asked to call 101 quoting reference 2309/03Aug.
