An air ambulance was spotted landing in parkland close to a police cordon after reports of a stabbing in Dagenham, illustrating the urgency of the situation.
Residents reported the helicopter's arrival around 5pm, which came shortly after police were dispatched to Birdbrook Close following a stabbing incident.
The injured man, in his 20s, suffered stab wounds but was later taken to the hospital with injuries that were assessed as not life-threatening.
Despite the serious nature of the incident, police have made no arrests yet, and investigations are ongoing with a cordon set up in the area.
