Parts of the Overground and District line will close later this month
Briefly

Network Rail has announced partial closures on the Overground and District line for four weekends to facilitate crucial repairs at Kew Railway Bridge, improving future train reliability.
The repairs will involve replacing 570 wheel timbers that have been in place for 25 years, aiming to fix track faults that frequently cause delays for passengers.
Over the affected weekends, rail replacement buses will operate, with significant service alterations including no Overground service between Richmond and Shepherd's Bush and affected District line services.
Network Rail's plan includes not only the replacement of timbers, but also cutting back vegetation, improving train detection systems, and upgrading signals to further enhance service reliability.
