A man has had a criminal charge upgraded to murder after a pensioner died. Emergency services were called to Plaistow Road, in Newham, on May 15. A 79-year-old man was found suffering injuries and taken to hospital.
Philip Fracezek, 20, appeared at Barkingside Magistrates' Court charged with attempted murder. Given the victim's death, the charge will be amended to murder in coordination with the CPS.
