London weather: What is an Arctic blast and when is it coming?
Briefly

Met Office forecaster Craig Snell indicated that cooler air will start to move into the UK from the Arctic, signaling the first autumn chill of the season. This shift will drop temperatures into the mid-teens during the day and into the low and mid single figures at night, with the most pronounced effects expected from Tuesday and Wednesday. Rain is also anticipated, making conditions cooler and wetter.
As the Met Office stated, we’re likely to see fresher, cooler temperatures sweeping across the UK. This change will particularly affect the north by mid-week, where it will become notably cool. In London, temperatures can drop to as low as 7C on Wednesday night and even 5C overnight on Thursday. The upcoming week promises to be unsettled with frequent showers and brisk winds.
