London is getting a brand-new fleet of electric double-decker buses
Briefly

Cleaning up London's air is clearly on the agenda of London's newly re-elected mayor Sadiq Khan - and those emission-reducing ambitions were recently re-affirmed with the news that the city's 'Boris Buses' are getting the boot.
The Mayor approved a deal between Go-Ahead Group and Chinese automaker BYD for 100 electric buses, costing £400,000 each, cheaper than UK alternatives.
Controversy surrounds the deal as BYD was accused of unethical practices, with TfL seeking assurance of ethical manufacturing practices from the manufacturer.
TfL's bus business development head mentioned that bus companies have ethical and sustainability policies to ensure high standards for the environment and workers' rights.
