Here's how many electric car charging points are in south east London

In south east London, Greenwich has the most amount of electric charging points as of October 2023 with 260, however this has decreased since October 2022, when there was 275 charging points. Lewisham has had the most electric charging points installed in the past year, as the number has risen from 179 to 248. Vauxhall, who analysed the data, said more must be done to meet the rising demand for electric cars.
Below are the figures from the Department for Transport which show the number of publicly available electric vehicle charging devices in south east London. Bexley: 66 publicly available electric vehicle charging devices as of October, including 29 rapid chargers. Overall, it is up from 46 charging devices in October of 2022. Bromley: 114 publicly available electric vehicle charging devices as of October, including 39 rapid chargers. Overall, it is up 10 per cent from 104 charging devices in October of 2022. Dartford: 92 publicly available electric vehicle charging devices as of October, including 42 rapid chargers. Overall, it is up from 84 charging devices in October of 2022. Greenwich: 260 publicly available electric vehicle charging devices as of October, including 58 rapid chargers. Overall, it is down 5 per cent from 275 charging devices in October of 2022. Lewisham: 248 publicly available electric vehicle charging devices in Lewisham as of October, including 35 rapid chargers. Overall, it is up 39 per cent from 179 charging devices in October of 2022.
Across the UK, there were nearly 49,220 publicly available chargers as of October a 42% jump from 2022. Of them, 8,908 were rapid chargers. The figures also show on-street electric vehicle chargers for homes without driveways have increased by 69% in the last 12 months, with 4,094 new installations recorded in the last quarter.
