A child is in a serious condition and three adults are in hospital after a shooting in north-east London. Firearms officers and ambulance crew were among those who rushed to the scene at about 9.20pm on Wednesday.
The Metropolitan police described the situation as fast-moving with no arrests made yet. Deputy assistant commissioner Matt Ward expressed shock and ongoing inquiries: 'Our thoughts go to all those affected. Fast-moving inquiries are under way and we will update as soon as we can.'
