Commuters are being urged to 'remain clear' of East Croydon station due to a 'security alert'. National Rail confirmed that trains are unable to stop since around 5pm today.
Thameslink posted on X: 'Police are dealing with an incident at East Croydon station. The main entrance is currently shut and you will need to use the alternative available entrances/exits at the station.'
A spokesperson for National Rail said: 'The police are dealing with an incident in the East Croydon area and are advising people to remain clear of the station.'
