Around 40 control room staff at Transport UK buses will strike for eight days in May, potentially causing 'chaos' to services in south and south west London. The industrial action comes after the staff's dissatisfaction with the company's failure to provide an improved pay offer, which would essentially result in a pay cut due to inflation.
Unite general secretary Sharon Graham and regional officer Maxine Loza highlighted the importance of Transport UK recognizing the value of its staff and providing a significantly improved pay offer to prevent potential traffic chaos and ensure driver and passenger safety on London bus routes.
