Jonathan Bailey will take on the title role of Shakespeare's 'Richard II' in a new Hytner directed production at the Bridge Theatre, running from February next year.
The production is anticipated to showcase Bailey's performance in a charming manner, different from past interpretations, focusing on Hytner's Shakespeare direction skills and Bailey's acting prowess.
Previous immersive Shakespeare plays at the Bridge Theatre had half the audience seated and half standing, but it's uncertain if 'Richard II' will follow that pattern yet.
