NYC Law Department welcomes 53 new assistant corporation counsels

Acting Corporation Counsel Muriel Goode-Trufant recently swore in 53 new assistant corporation counsels. This marks the arrival of the NY City Law Dept.'s Class of 2024.
These attorneys join nearly 800 lawyers across 22 divisions, representing the nation’s oldest, largest, and most diverse municipal law office, showcasing varied professional backgrounds.
The new attorneys will represent NYC, its mayor, elected officials, and agencies in civil litigation, juvenile delinquency cases, and Criminal Court Administrative Code enforcement.
Goode-Trufant's diverse background and experience have positioned her well to lead, with accolades acknowledging her distinguished service within the Law Department since 1991.
