Down nearly 50 attorneys since April, Burns & Levinson is gauging its merger prospects after losing lawyers to Biglaw firms like Blank Rome and Locke Lord.
"Firms are generally not interested in mergers when they're in a position of strength, but rather when they are weakening," said Kent Zimmermann.
"We are excited about the possibilities for growth and expansion that we are considering," Burns & Levinson said amidst their recruitment challenges.
