Isaac James founded OutVote to mobilize Gen Z voters amid rising anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric during the 2024 election. Witnessing decreased youth voter turnout, he felt an urgent need to act. With a Rhodes Trust grant, he became the full-time executive director in August 2025. OutVote aims to foster a renewed culture of civic engagement, addressing the unique challenges faced by the post-marriage LGBTQ+ generation. The organization is optimistic about its impact heading into the 2026 elections.

"We're heading into 2026 with a lot of optimism and fire."
"This post-marriage, LGBTQ generation is faced with a lot of challenges that generations before us."
