The rest of the Oklahoma City coaching staff from 2023 has also transitioned over to this season. Returning are hitting coach Manny Burriss, pitching coaches Justin DeFratus and Doug Mathis, and bench coach Chris Gutierrez.
Barbary guided Oklahoma City to their first league championship since 1996. It was a marked improvement across the board for his ballclub from where they were in 2022.
