Dodgers' Mookie Betts Fractures Hand, Heading to IL
Briefly

Designated hitter Shohei Ohtani will likely move into the top spot in the batting order with Betts out. Betts took a 97.9 mph four-seamer off his left hand in the seventh inning and immediately fell to the ground, visibly in pain.
The injury to Betts is gut-wrenching as he was a favorite for the NL MVP, having an exceptional season with a .304 batting average and .893 OPS, along with being a key defensive player.
