This week the Steering Committee updated the Typelevel Charter. The updates are minimal and intended to clarify the role of Chair, now renamed to Secretary, reflecting its administrative nature rather than a leadership position.
The role has been converted to a rotating position with a 12-month term, ensuring that the administrative responsibilities are shared across the committee. This change is aimed at promoting collaboration.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Ross Baker for his work as Chair of the Typelevel Steering Committee these last years, acknowledging his contributions to the committee.
For the first rotation, Andrew Valencik has volunteered to assume the responsibilities, including calling votes and determining quorum. This marks a new chapter for the committee.
