Napari is a fast, interactive, multi-dimensional image viewer for Python, designed for browsing, annotating, and analyzing large multi-dimensional images. It's built on top of Qt (for the GUI), vispy (for performant GPU-based rendering), and the scientific Python stack (numpy, scipy).
Napari is in an alpha stage, so there may be breaking changes with each release. Progress can be tracked on the project's repository, where new versions can be tested and contributions made.
Napari supports six main layer types: Image, Labels, Points, Vectors, Shapes, and Surface, each suitable for different data visualization and interactivity. Users can add multiple layer types into the viewer and adjust their properties.
