The Flax Typhoon group has gone beyond previous efforts by using a broader range of compromised devices. This has resulted in a botnet of over 200,000 infected consumer items including internet routers and video cameras.
The FBI has successfully seized the infrastructure of the botnet operated by Flax Typhoon, which was used to launch extensive DDoS attacks and steal sensitive information.
