Dutch authorities revealed that a Chinese-linked cyber espionage operation targeted FortiGate devices, infecting at least 20,000 systems by exploiting a known vulnerability, maintaining access even after updates.
The hackers compromised 'dozens' of Western governments, international organizations, and defense industry companies, installing malware on some systems and being able to sustain access post-updates.
