Every year I'm asked the same question about alcohol and marijuana: Which is more dangerous to consume? It's difficult to answer due to their complex impacts on the brain.
The World Health Organization concluded that no level of alcohol consumption is safe for our health; alcohol is a toxic, psychoactive, dependence-producing substance.
Studies strongly support marijuana for treating chronic pain or inflammatory diseases. It's beneficial but not a cure, as it only alleviates symptoms.
The prenatal and adolescent brain are particularly vulnerable to cannabis, indicating significant risks associated with its use during these critical developmental periods.
