While some gaming laptops can lean toward the aggressive or gaudy in their styling, HP has opted for restrained black elegance for the Omen Transcend 16.
A 16-inch laptop chassis makes a great companion to a 16:10 screen, which is what we have here. It's an IPS, not the mini-LED that some US build-to-order models can be upgraded to, but it doesn't do a bad job with a rated brightness of 400 nits.
