The state court in Halle convicted Bjorn Hocke...using a slogan associated with the Nazi party's paramilitary wing...in May 2021.
Hocke's legal team said it would appeal against the verdict, accusing prosecutors of politically targeting him and claiming he was a victim of political repression.
