Framework Laptop 13 gets Core Ultra CPUs, cheaper Ryzens, and higher-res screens
Briefly

The upgrades for the Framework Laptop 13 include new Intel Meteor Lake Core Ultra processors with dedicated Intel Arc GPUs, lower prices for AMD Ryzen 7000 and 13th-gen Intel editions, and a higher resolution 2880x1920 display with 120 Hz refresh rate.
The Core Ultra boards offer CPU options like Ultra 5 125H, Ultra 7 155H, or Ultra 7 165H with different core configurations. Prices for these upgrades start at $899 for pre-built models. DDR5 RAM upgrade is necessary with Core Ultra CPUs, costing $40 for every 8GB.
The Core Ultra systems and boards are set to ship in August, with a second batch expected in Q3 once the initial batch sells out. The new chips include a neural processing unit (NPU) for AI workloads.
The new 13.5-inch display of 2880x1920 resolution is an improvement over the existing 2256x1504 display on the Framework Laptop 13. The display update is part of the latest round of iterative updates.
