Swiped is a biographical film streaming on Hulu that portrays Whitney Wolfe Herd's rise in the online dating industry. Lily James portrays Wolfe and also serves as a producer. Wolfe co-founded Tinder and later launched Bumble to improve online dating safety and agency for women after experiencing dark challenges. Bumble prioritized protecting women and shifted dating dynamics. Legal issues and nondisclosure agreements prevented the filmmakers from working directly with Wolfe. Wolfe led Bumble to a public offering and became the youngest female self-made billionaire. Lily James embraced Wolfe's resilience and conviction and hopes to emulate those qualities in her own work.
