The musical film, directed by Paul King isn't the kind of movie you want to pick on. It undoubtedly has a warm heart-but has the effect of watching a lucrative homework assignment.
The film explores Bernstein's complicated marriage with Felicia Montealegre and the couple's struggle to balance Lenny's public genius with his life as a closeted gay man.
